Senior Programme Manager - Operations Team

Job summary

A dedicated Senior Programme Manager is required to support the Senior Operational Team to deliver sustainable change and improvement within services. The Programme Manager will work closely with the Operation Team and Care Group Leadership team to delivery the full internal improvement and changes required to ensure services are fit for the future.

This will be a full-time post for a 18 month fixed term hybrid post.

Main duties of the job

  • Take a lead role in the design and delivery of improvement programmes specially the redesign of community mental health and crisis resolution and home treatment services within Norfolk and Suffolk
  • Complete highlight reports as and when required
  • Have a good understanding of the Urgent and Emergency care and Community transformation deliverables for both SNEE & N&W ICB and ensure this is captured within NSFT operational improvement objectives
  • Have a practical hands-on approach to implementation of project standards/ best practices ensuring clinicians are engaged and supported to be present to support delivery
  • Ensure that outputs and benefits defined within the overall Programme and Project scope are delivered on time, within budget and to the required standard of quality.
  • Help in the development of Project / Programme business cases, clearly demonstrating costs and benefits realisation of the proposed schedule of work.
  • Develop, mobilise and review programme delivery plans.
  • Hold administrative duties such as the creation of programme workbooks, programme risk management, milestone and KPI development and routine project reporting.
  • Act as a source of independent expertise and advice.
  • Identify where projects are off plan, with project leads/sponsors agree actions necessary for recovery.

  • Post-graduate studies or equivalent experience
  • Use of computer software including Microsoft windows, Microsoft word, excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Visio

  • Project Management qualification such as Prince2, MSP and/or Agile
  • Experience of urgent and emergency care / community transformation in NHS
