We have a vacancy for an experienced Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist (Band 8a) who is passionate about improving mental health outcomes for young people. This particular role is to work across our Central and West Norfolk CAMHS localities, although you will be provided a main base in either Norwich or Kings Lynn.
In CAMHS in Norfolk and Waveney, we are in the process of innovative transformation, working towards delivery of specialist mental health services for 0-14 year olds, within a THRIVE framework.

Main duties of the job
You will offer direct clinical work, including specialist assessment, formulation, and interventions (both group and individual) for children under 14 years old and their families and carers. You will provide support to the team through a range of clinical activities (e.g. triage, case discussion, safety planning, crisis management) and supervision to the multidisciplinary team colleagues (including Trainee Clinical Psychologists); applying psychological models and formulation to the needs of the young people accessing our service. You will provide consultation and develop formulations with other relevant services for families presenting with a range of difficulties. Another core part of the role will be delivering training to the team and other professionals, and getting involved with relevant research projects. Your clinical leadership skills will also be valued in the development of services; the overarching aim to improve the speed of access and the quality and consistency of care across CAMHS.
We working closely with our colleagues in our 14-25 Youth teams, and could facilitate discussion about opportunities within the wider age range. We also support flexible working discussions as appropriate.
