Job summary
Thurne Ward is a 15 bedded Mixed-Sex Acute inpatient Ward. We are working on assessment and treatment for those who are experiencing acute mental illness. The service is recovery focused on Treatment, Therapy and Support to help our service users return to well-being and independence.
You will be working with our dedicated team to support service users, by providing personal support in a person-centred and holistic way.
Do you have a strong team work ethic and sense of accountability? Good assessment and communication skills and the right attributes to enhance the team are crucial, as is the ability to communicate with the wider MDT. We are looking for an individual who is committed and able to integrate within an established large multi-disciplinary team which is supportive and friendly. We pride ourselves as a team on delivering care that is second to none and we are consistently rated as good for caring by CQC.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a qualified Mental Health Nurse and/or Registered Learning Disability Nurse, with experience of inpatient working to support service users and their families within a MDT. You will demonstrate a sound understanding of your role as a Primary Nurse and join our friendly multidisciplinary team working closely with our statutory and non statutory partners to provide appropriate interventions and promote recovery for those individuals admitted to the ward.
You will expected to work flexibly over the 24hr period, as we are a 24/7 service. Day shift: 0700-1930, Night shift 1900-0730.
