Our on-site training program is designed to provide you with hands-on experience working alongside experienced technicians, learning about the use ofdifferent materialsand techniques to create top-quality podiatry appliances.
Main duties of the job
As a Podiatry Appliance Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing custom orthotics to patients with foot and ankle conditions. You will be responsible forcrafting and designing foot appliances andorthotics in accordancetothe prescription given to you by the treating clinician. These deviceshelp alleviate patients'pain and improve their mobility.

Maintaining the lab.
Dealing with enquiries, emails and orders.

- Good General Education to 'A' level standard or above or Qualification to at least Level 3 or proven competency through relevant experience in a technical, creative, or healthcare discipline. (Engineering, Design, Healthcare Certificate etc.)
Skills and Experience

- Good computer skills with working knowledge of e-mail, word, excel spreadsheets, power-point etc.
- Competent in using hand & power tools safely and to a good standard.
- Basic understanding of Health and Safety matters.
- Comfortable and confident in manual working, proven manual dexterity in working with hands and good hand-eye coordination
- Able to work in a noisy and dusty environment whilst taking responsibility for minimizing the impact on the health & safety of self and others by adhering to health & safety measures.
- Good communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally and courteously to a wide range of colleagues, teams, organizations, and service users.
- Good organizational skills. Ability to manage own workload, prioritizing work tasks as appropriate
- Ability to work in isolation and as part of a team.
