Booking and Scheduling Clerk Band 3 Permanent Part Time 22.5 hrs per week Wednesday to Friday
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join our busy administration team in providing a professional and effective Outpatient Booking and Scheduling Service for the Trust.
The Booking and Scheduling Clerk post will currently require cover for the below shift pattern, however this pattern is subject to change based on the business needs:
Wednesdays: 9am to 5pm
Thursdays: 10am to 6pm
Fridays: 8am to 4pm
The role requires an enthusiastic, competent and proactive individual with an appreciation and understanding of the confidential nature of the work. The role is based in the Clinical Management team within the Central Booking Office at TGH.
Applicants should be excellent communicators with good telephone skills and have the ability to deal with the general public on a daily basis and maintain a positive approach to customer care.
Computer literacy is essential as you will be required to input and extract information from a number of Trust Patient Administrative Systems.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for providing an efficient and high quality service to support the Central Booking Office in the management of outpatient appointments, booking and scheduling and ensuring that targets are met.
The post holder will deal with all aspects of creating clinics in Lorenzo, clinic maintenance, clinic cancellations, ensuring patients are notified on the phone or via the Trust Portal and re-booked as soon as possible, and other duties associated with clinic management.
