We have a number of exciting opportunities to join the Emergency Department Team at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust as an ED Tracker.

The tracker role is a new role supporting both patients and clinical staff through their Tameside experience whether that be through the Emergency Department (ED) and Urgent Treatment Centre. (UTC)

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, a good team player, organised, flexible and can maintain attention to detail. Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable and willing to take on various tasks and duties. The role will cover a 7 day service with shift patterns from 07:00 - 22:30.

You will also play an active role in the wider multidisciplinary teams that work across Tameside by liaising with different teams to ensure patients progress along their pathway safely and efficiently

The overall aim of this post is to offer the highest level of care to our patients by supporting the clinicians providing the front-line care to improve the patient experience and flow throughout the department.

Main duties of the job

Tracking patients from when they enter the department to when they leave by onwards referral for further specialist treatment or discharged back to the care of their GP in a timely manner. You will work closely with Medical, Nursing and Operational colleagues based in the ED and UTC department providing awareness to changes in pressure, capacity, and patient flow.
