Podiatrist - Band 6 Permanent, Part Time - 22.5 hours per week
Tameside and Glossop Podiatry Team inclusive of the High Risk Foot Team and the Musculoskeletal Team deliver services throughout Tameside and Glossop in a variety of settings.

Main duties of the job
To assess diagnose, develop and implement individualised management plans for patients with a wide variety of clinical needs, including acute or chronic neuropathies, chronic diseases, vascular problems and wound management.
As an autonomous practitioner, the post holder will also beexpected to plan and manage their own caseload, which will include providing specialist care forpatients with diabetes, rheumatological and biomechanical problems.
To provide an efficient, effective and consistently high quality podiatry service. Workingindependently in both community and clinical settings.
The post holder will have responsibility for the clinical management and administration of a clinicalsite/s. This will involve the day-to-day supervision of other podiatrists, and podiatry assistants.

- Health Care Professional Council registration
- Certificate in local anaesthesia

- Specialist professional knowledge acquired through post registration CPD, notably nail surgery, biomechanics, wound care, dermatology, vascular assessment, Paediatrics and diabetes.
- Above average knowledge of medical conditions to assist in diagnosis gained through CPD -taught courses, shadowing other healthcare staff.
- CPR including administration of adrenalin
- Demonstrable knowledge of clinical audit
- In depth knowledge of administration systems
