Vaccination Midwife - 22.5 hours

Are you looking for new prospects in your midwifery career? We are seeking a motivated and experienced NMC registered midwife to support the antenatal vaccination and immunisation programme. This is an exciting opportunity to join ourVaccination in Pregnancy team and contribute to experience and outcomes for the pregnant population of Tameside and Glossop.

You will be responsible for the provision of a safe and effective service in the delivery of maternity vaccines in our antenatal services. This will include actively raising awareness of maternity vaccinations and appropriate gestations for administration, facilitating training and support to other staff, participating in clinical audit, and evaluating care and services.

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic midwife to join us in this role where you will work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team. You will use your communication skills to advise and counsel service users on vaccinations recommended during pregnancy, and use your clinical skills to provide a safe and efficient service.

Main duties of the job

Provide day to day support and supervision of the Vaccination in Pregnancy clinics, contributing to the delivery of a safe, professional, effective, and efficient service. You will provide advice and information to educate staff, service users, and other stakeholders, and adopt a person-centered approach to public health to improve health and tackle inequalities.

You will support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the antenatal immunisation programme delivery and promote uptake of influenza, pertussis, COVID-19, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccination programmes.
