Rotational Midwife -Band 5/Band 6 - Various Hours Available - Permanent

We have exciting opportunities for motivated and passionate NMC registered midwives to join a welcoming team at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust as we continue to expand our team and develop our maternity service.

We welcome applications from experienced Band 6 midwives and also those who are newly qualified and looking to join us as Preceptorship Band 5 midwives.

We are looking for knowledgeable and confident midwives who will work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality, safe and compassionate individualised care - making a real difference to families.

The applicants will demonstrate experience in all aspects of midwifery and have the ability to work with us across our services in antenatal, consultant and midwife-led intrapartum, and postnatal care.

Main duties of the job

  • Provides a full range of health education and social care advice to women within an integrated model of care.
  • Provides care through the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal periods for women and their babies in a hospital or community setting.
  • To support the Team/ Ward/Departmental Manager in the effective management of the clinical area.
  • To always act in a manner consistent with the NMC Midwives Rules and Standards and Code of Professional Conduct, carrying out his/her duties in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • To lead, support, supervise and teach staff.
