Job summary
Dental Nurse Band 4 - 20 hours per week
To deliver complex clinical work whilst working as part of the team to provide an efficient Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontic Service to the Trust. The post-holder will help with training and supervision of new and temporary staff to the department. They will be expected to always act in a manner consistent with the GDC Code of Professional Conduct carrying out his/her duties in accordance with Trust policies and procedures. Main duties of the job
Patient reception, assisting clinicians in specialist treatment of maxillofacial and orthodontic patients. Carry out treatment and assist in the supervision of patients until they are fit to leave the premises.
Liaising with secretaries/receptionists regarding appointments and administration.
Organise and maintain surgery equipment and materials.
Care and maintenance of electronic equipment, liaising with the medical equipment service department.
