Maternity Vaccination Clinic Support Worker
We have an exciting new opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Maternity Support Worker to join our team as we set up a specialist clinic to support the Maternity Vaccination Programme.
You will have responsibility for day to day support to the maternity vaccination clinics, contributing to the delivery of a safe, professional and effective programme in the delivery of maternity vaccinations in our antenatal services. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and good organisation.
Main duties of the job
Provides day to day support to the Maternity Vaccination Clinics, contributing to the delivery of a safe, professional, effective, and efficient service.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work within Trust policy, national and local guidelines, and within own scope of professional practice.
Have responsibility to day to day clinic support, ensuring a safe, professional, effective and efficient delivery of vaccinations to women and their partners.
Be responsible for configuration of the vaccination station.
Administration of vaccines to already consented and assessed individuals.
Escalation of any concerns to the midwifery team in relation to the care of the woman and her family
Work within clinical protocols to deliver the vaccination services in-line with current best practice.
Monitor and support processes related to supply of consumables to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained and issues escalated.
Participate in stock rotation procedures to prevent unnecessary waste.
Ensure the safe and effective use of equipment and resources within the service.
Ensure accurate documentation and timely recording of vaccinations on all necessary systems.
