Job summary
The post holder will be an experienced Paramedic or Nurse, who acting within their professional boundaries will provide clinical leadership, management and supervision to a team of Urgent & Emergency Care Advanced Practitioners (UECAP). This will be within the Integrated Contact Centres (ICC) and operational responding.
The post holder will be based at Estuary Point ICC and the role will be self-rostering with the requirement to provide daily operational cover over a 7-day period between the UEC AP Operational Manager team.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will ensure the delivery of excellent patient care through the continuous achievement of clinical standards. The post holder will support service development and modernisation plans by leading on local implementation of changes to clinical triage systems, clinical practice and care pathways.
The post holder will deliver clinical learning, essential updates and CPD to all clinical practitioners, clinically lead on development of the AP-UEC role and other rotational roles alongside undertaking relevant research and development activities.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

- Educated to Degree level in relevant subject; or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in this area.

- Thorough knowledge of 111 and 999 primary and secondary triage processes within UK NHS ASTs

- Proven knowledge and experience relating to the operation of Primary & Urgent Care Services.
- Good understanding and application of qualitative & quantitative research methods in practice

- Knowledge of macro and micro contextual drivers and developments, particularly "Taking Healthcare to the Patient" and Urgent Care Strategy driver
