Job summary

This exciting role will be based at our Fleet Projects office, located at Birch Street, Bury. Manchester. You will be expected to carry out all administration and transactional activities to ensure the appropriate conditions and legal requirements are implemented to assist in enabling the availability of the trusts operational and non-operational vehicle fleet. Provide effective administration, clerical and secretarial support to the Fleet & Equipment Support Manager and the wider Fleet Projects Team, planning of diaries, meetings, both internal and external, whilst managing and prioritising own workloads alongside delegated duties.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will ensure completion of daily, weekly and monthly statistical returns and production, interpretation of various reports for Fleet and Service Delivery directorate. Introducing comprehensive filing systems where necessary. They will process all third-party contractual transactions and administration of accounts.

The post holder will Co-ordinate with Operational Support Staff / Fleet Project Manager on all new vehicle schedules, recall campaigns and arrangement of any demonstration vehicles via communication with manufacturers/suppliers/bodybuilders/converters at all stages to ensure compliance with NWAS plans and co-ordination of ICT installations.

Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.

We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Essential

  • Educated to a minimum of GCSE level in 5 subjects or equivalent including literacy and numeracy
  • ECDL or equivalent qualification
  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in an office environment giving a good underpinning knowledge of office systems and administrative procedures
  • Computer literate with an understanding of a range of Microsoft packages. -Word, Excel and PowerPoint etc.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle terminology/engineering related workshop procedures and insurance legislation would be desirable but not essential
  • Experience of working within the Health Service or the Public Sector in an insurance environment in handling claims and related issues would be desirable but not essential
