An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) as a Senior Leader for Strategy, Planning and Transformation.
The post holder will work across the trust to embed strategic and annual planning cycles which manage, co-ordinate and implement the trust strategy, annual plans and transformational roadmap. The post holder will be responsible for demonstrating performance against our plans to achieve our vision to deliver the right care at the right time in the right place, every time.
The Strategy, Planning and Transformation Senior Lead is a key leadership role within the trust, focused on delivering the trust's strategic plan and acting as Deputy to the Head of Strategy, Planning and Transformation. The post holder will support the development of strong organisational profile through relationship building at trust, system, and regional level.
Main duties of the job
Some of the key areas of responsibility will include:
- Lead the development and delivery of the trust strategy, supporting strategies and strategic plans.
- Oversee the implementation of a robust transformation and integration roadmap.
- Support the organisation to deliver large-scale complex change management programmes which focus on achievement of strategic outcomes
- Support service transformation
- Support the development of directorate business plans and objective
The post holder will work collaboratively across the health and care system. They will lead transformational and integration projects, working with partners across the Integrated Care Partnership and the Integrated Care System.
The post holder will line manage the teams within the strategy, planning and transformation department.

About us
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
