An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Motor Vehicle Technicians to join our ever-expanding Fleet workshop teams, working as part of Fleet Operations at North West Ambulance Service.
The current vacancy is at our Wallasey workshop.

Fleet Vehicle Workshops - Wallasey
- 37.5 Hours per week Mon to Fri start times 08.00 till 16.30 hours
- 27+ Days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Salary - Band 5 with an On Target Earnings between £28,407 - £34,581 subject to experience.
Main duties of the job
Our technicians are supported by a dedicated management team structure, ensuring our team has everything available to maximise vehicle through put and reduce workshop delays and supply chain frustrations.
With over 1150 vehicles across the entire Fleet, each day offers variety, and the opportunity for our technicians to enjoy their working environment with likeminded people.

About us
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.
Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.
Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.
We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Essential
- City and Guilds certificate in motor vehicle technology or NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications and experience
- Good standard of education. Minimum 3 GCSE or equivalent.
- Full Driving License
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
Desirable
- Driving License C1 + D1 (Work towards)
- MOT Tester

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with situations in a sensitive manner
- Able to communicate across wide demographic boundaries in an appropriate manner
