Workforce Wellbeing Officer x4
This job is now closed
Job summary
North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust is looking to recruit four Workforce Wellbeing Officers to support an exciting and new Workforce Wellbeing Hub being established by the trust.
Maintaining a happy, healthy and engaged workforce is a key organisational priority for the trust and the development of a Workforce Wellbeing Hub will help achieve this objective. As a Workforce Wellbeing Officer, you will play a key part in helping in bringing our staff health and wellbeing offer to life, supporting a positive employee experience and thriving organisational culture. In your role, you will be a visible presence for staff and managers across NWAS sites to engage with - for them to access information and advice around how to access wellbeing support services. Through the Workforce Wellbeing Hub, you will also support the delivery of a 'single point of contact' service - responding to phone and email enquiries from colleagues and providing signposting to relevant and appropriate information and services. Additionally, you will facilitate health and wellbeing events, training, and engagement activities across the sites you support, and will also produce content for internal communications platforms.
Main duties of the job
This role demands someone who is accustomed to working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment given the operational pressures in the ambulance service. You will be an effective communicator, able to work positively with staff at all levels and be capable of managing your own workload. This is an incredibly rewarding role supporting our workforce, so if you are passionate about engaging with staff to support their health and wellbeing, we'd love to hear from you.
We are recruiting four posts in total covering the areas of 1. Cumbria & Lancashire, 2. Cheshire & Merseyside and 3. Greater Manchester. The role will involve regular travel across the area you are assigned to - visiting NWAS sites (e.g. ambulance stations, contact centres, corporate offices) and engaging with staff. Please note that working from home opportunities in this role will be limited, as postholders will be expected to be a visible presence at NWAS sites.
