Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed consultant to join our growing Obstetrics and Gynaecology service at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting time of investment and development with maternity refurbishment, service expansion and digital transformation underway. The successful applicant will have a special interest in urogynaecology and will help to deliver high-quality care across gynaecology services and/or tertiary our busy maternity unit, with opportunities for leadership and teaching. Interviews will be held on 27th March 2026
Main duties of the job
o Provide high-quality obstetrics, gynaecology and urogynaecology care as part of the consultant team.o Hold clinical responsibility for a defined caseload and contribute to senior decision-making across the service.o Participate in labour ward hot-week cover, emergency gynaecology duties and the consultant on-call rota.o Provide leadership, supervision and training for junior medical staff.o Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and effective women's health services.o Support service development, teaching and opportunities linked to the new Bolton Medical School.
