Job summary
We are seeking two enthusiastic obstetricians to join our team and contribute to the general departmental workload. The post holders will provide antenatal care, including specialist antenatal clinics such as diabetes, maternal medicine, Rainbow clinics, preterm prevention and, where appropriate, fetal medicine. The role includes labour ward cover, participation in the obstetric on-call rota, Caesarean section lists, and active involvement in departmental risk management and governance.
Main duties of the job
o Provide antenatal care through general and specialist antenatal clinics, which may include diabetes, maternal medicine, Rainbow clinics, preterm prevention and, where appropriate, fetal medicine.o Contribute to labour ward activity, ensuring safe, effective intrapartum care.o Participate in the obstetric on-call rota.o Undertake Caesarean section operating lists.o Deliver high-quality obstetric clinical care as part of the multidisciplinary team.o Support departmental risk management, governance activity and patient safety initiatives.o Supervise, support and contribute to the training of junior medical staff.o Work collaboratively with colleagues across the service to ensure excellent standards of care.

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust a major hub within Greater Manchester for women and children's services and is the second busiest ambulance-receiving site in Greater Manchester.
