Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to join and be an integral member of a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary specialist team working alongside consultants, nurses, pharmacists, health care assistance and admin and operational staff to provide safe, effective and efficient care for patients.
The post is for 30 hours 0.8WTE. To be discussed with the successful applicant, can be worked across either 4 or 5 days and as the unit manager, you will hold both clinical and operational responsibility over a busy dermatology outpatient department comprising of consultants, specialty doctors, GPwSI, nurses, health care assistants, pharmacist, cancer nurse specialist, admin and operational colleagues.
The dermatology services provides suspected cancer and routine outpatient clinics, phototherapy, a biologics service and minor surgery.

- Staff management including rosters, sickness, personal development plans, appraisals, disciplinaries and training
- The post holder needs to be a v3000 non-medical prescriber in order to autonomously run routine follow-up clinics for specific conditions such as eczema, acne and mild psoriasis.
The dermatology department implemented a biologics service in the summer of 2025. Dermatology supports the Trust to be the 3rd highest performing hospitals with GM for cancer performance.
