Job summary

Fixed Term/Secondment - 12 months An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist to work as a Therapy Team Leader across our community beds. This role is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to develop their skills in a leadership and transformation in relation to our bed based therapy model. The role includes operational management duties in relation to the therapy staff working across our community beds alongside clinical time to support patients and develop clinical excellence. The role will be varied as we have both IMC and D2A beds across a mix of settings in Bolton. The successful candidate will work flexibly to support the therapy staff that working with patients in these beds. We are looking for applicants who are forward thinking, enthusiastic and motivated with a passion for leadership as well as clinical excellence. The successful applicant will co-lead a therapy team of OT's, PT's, Assistant Practitioners and therapy assistants.

Main duties of the job

This role will be responsible for the operational management of the community beds therapy team on a day to day basis. This role will work closely with our Community Beds Health and Care Leadership Team that work across our Intermediate Care and Discharge to Assess Beds to ensure the delivery of a safe and high quality service. You will be responsible for leading on service development projects, as part of a wider transformation programme across our community beds. This role will be responsible for maintaining training, appraisals, supervision with the team as well as having a thorough working knowledge of the team's clinical caseload in order to provide clinical support to the team and ensure flow. An element of the role will also include a clear focus on integration within the community beds with our colleagues across Bolton FT, Bolton Council and excellent communication is vital.
