Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 5 Paediatric Staff Nurse within the Paediatric Accident and Emergency Department of the Acute Adult Care Division of the Trust. We have an excellent team of healthcare professionals dedicated to Emergency Care provision for the local community. We are looking for motivated nurses with paediatric nursing experience to work in our busy department, following our trust values of "Putting patients and staff at the heart of everything we do, being respected, valued and proud".
Main duties of the job
The Paediatric Emergency Department is a very busy and fast paced environment treating patients who present with acute medical, surgical or mental health needs and also those who present with minor injury/illness. As a Staff Nurse you will be expected to provide and promote the delivery of a high quality standard of patient centred care in a supported environment whilst working within nationally agreed standards for Sepsis and key performance indicators.
We have an excellent in house induction and training programme led by our practice educators. We run regular training days relevant to role and experience utilising the National curriculum and competency framework from the RCN. We also have development packages designed towards achieving clinical and leadership skills and training needs analysis geared towards development into differing career pathways within the department.
