Job summary
Part-time 24 hours per week (6 PA's per week) - Fixed term for 23 months.
Applications are invited for a part time fixed term Locum Consultant Orthodontist. You will be based in the orthodontic department working alongside our existing Consultant Orthodontist and an experienced team of clinicians, nurses and administrative teams.
The post is to support our existing patient demand.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will participate in clinical duties, audit, directorate meetings and undertake administrative tasks.
The post holder will be encouraged to be involved in all aspects of departmental activities including teaching and research. There is no on-call commitment.

Qualifications/Professional Registration
Essential
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent
- Entry on GDC Specialist Register for Orthodontics
- Intercollegiate Specialty Examination or equivalent or within 3 months of completion of Post-CCST training
Desirable
- Masters Degree or equivalent in Orthodontics
Experience
Essential
- Clinical training & experience equivalent to gaining UK ISFE in Orthodontics
- Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems
- Ability to take full & independent responsibility for clinical care of patients

- Minimum 5 years supervised training in an appropriate SpR / Post-CCST
