A little bit about us!
The Orthopaedic unit has a dedicated outpatient department at the hospital with its own x-ray facility. Within the hospital we have a ring-fenced orthopaedic ward (F6) and two trauma wards - G3 and G4 both of which have a Trauma Stabilisation Unit (TSU).
Our main theatre suite has 4 laminar flow theatres which are generally used for arthroplasty surgery as well as trauma. Our newly extended day care facility currently has 2 general anaesthetic theatres, a treatment room and 25 day care beds with further development of theatres in the pipeline.
At present, our team of thirteen Consultants provide general services as well as appropriate specialisation in key areas. Our team also consists of experienced plaster room staff, physiotherapists, specialist registrars, foundation year doctors, clinical fellows, advanced nurse practitioners and our dedicated administrative team.
