Job summary

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Therapy Assistant/Support Worker who is a good team player and motivated, to join our Community Neuro-Rehabilitation Team (CNRT) in Rochdale.

CNRT assesses and provides rehabilitation programmes for adult patients with acquired neurological conditions such as head injuries, Multiple Sclerosis, brain tumours, progressive neurological conditions and complex strokes.

As a Senior Therapy Assistant, you are required to deliver treatment and rehabilitation programmes delegated by the qualified therapy staff and within an agreed competency framework to assess, treat and manage your own clinical caseload.

As an integral team player you may also be required to support with administrative duties and contribute to the day to day running of the department.

Unfortunately, this role does not meet the criteria required to qualify for sponsorship.

Main duties of the job

In this role you will manage your own caseload of patients that require therapy and also support both Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. The post holder should be passionate and motivated and be able to offer ideas to support service development.

Key Responsibilities of the Post:

- To deliver Therapy treatment plans as set by Treating Therapists

- To be responsible for your own caseload.

- To work as a member of a Multi-Disciplinary Team with supervision.

- To be motivated to engage in developing their professional skills.

- To support clinical staff with required administrative duties related to patient care.

- To assess / provide standard assistive equipment (appropriate training will be provided).

-To supervise junior therapy assistants as required.

- Access to a car or access to a means of mobility is essential for this role.
