Main duties of the job

  • Comprehensive Care Planning, Implementation & Evaluation: Develop expertise in delivering holistic, patient-centered care for groups of patients
  • IV Therapy: Master the art of safe and effective intravenous treatment
  • Venipuncture & Cannulation: Gain confidence in establishing vascular access with precision and care
  • ECG Monitoring: Learn to interpret cardiac rhythms accurately for optimal patient outcomes

  • Taking charge on a shift by shift basis
  • Experience with NIV, Tracheostomy and HIgh Flow Oxygen
  • Substantial years or more experience working within an acute environment

Desirable

  • Recognised Mentorship Qualification or working towards
  • Good Level of Clinical skills such as venipuncture, cannulation, ECG monitoring, male catheterisation

  • Experience of Managing junior staff, My Time Appraisals, Welcome Back Interviews, Deputising in the absence of the Ward Managers
