Job summary
The Estates Department supports all of our hospital sites within the Northern Care Alliance and are looking to enhance their team with a Band 4, full time, Electrical Improver.
You will have a key role in supporting the department's responsibility for the maintenance, repair and sub-contractor management of equipment and services. This will Include first line support to users of Medical equipment to optimise systems up time to gain maximum use of Medical equipment.
You will possess a minimum of level 3 Electrical Maintenance and have relevant experience since qualifying in the field of Electrics. Knowledge in the application and repair on a wide range of equipment used in a hospital and community is essential although some specific training will be provided.
Consideration may be given to applicants with reduced knowledge and skills, who follow a personnel development program on a reduced grade.

Main duties of the job
- You will provide a comprehensive electrical service to all wards and departments in a multi-disciplined environment, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.
- You will provide emergency recall and undertake on-call duties as part of the on-call team to ensure that emergency repairs occurring out of normal hours are attended to.
- You will complete further training to become a fully qualified Electrician.
