Bury Care Organisation is part of the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across the region. Our Podiatry Service plays a vital role in improving foot health and preventing complications for patients with complex needs, including diabetes, vascular disease, and musculoskeletal conditions.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Specialist Podiatrist to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a forward-thinking service that values innovation, professional development, and collaborative working.
Main duties of the job
As a Band 6 Specialist Podiatrist, you will:
- Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with high-risk foot conditions.
- Deliver evidence-based care in a variety of settings, including community clinics, domiciliary visits, and multidisciplinary team environments.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support and mentor junior colleagues and students

Essential
- Registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- State Registered Podiatry Diploma or Degree equivalent qualification in Podiatry
Desirable
- Clinical Educator
- Evidence of post graduate training in speciality area - including e.g.: Wound Management; Vascular; Diabetes; MSK Therapy and Rheumatology
Knowledge and Skills
Essential
- Extensive experience working within speciality
- Ability to complete neurological, vascular, nail surgery and woundcare assessments
- Experience working within speciality area eg MSK High Risk, Nail surgery
- Experience of managing a caseload of clients with complex needs
- Experience of problem solving
- Good IT skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
- Evidence of working in a multidisciplinary environment
