An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Stroke team at Fairfield General Hospital.
This post will provide you with excellent opportunities to develop a wide range of clinical and professional skills in a friendly and supportive environment at an outstanding Primary Stroke Centre.
Main duties of the job
You will carry out specialist neurological assessments and devise individualised treatment programmes for stroke patients. You will work in either the acute or rehab stroke wards. You will work with the MDT to achieve SMART rehabilitation goals and facilitate discharges home, working with our community stroke colleagues.
You will be supervised and supported by highly skilled and experiencedBand 7 Physiotherapists and work collaboratively with the MDT. The Physiotherapist Service strives for continuous service improvement and professional development is supported. We place great importance upon training and supporting all members of our team. Candidates should have experience in a range of clinical areas including stroke/neurology, and a good working knowledge of the RCP and NICE Stroke guidelines.
