Job summary
A fantastic career opportunity has opened for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse with post-registration experience in Emergency Care to step into the role of Emergency Department Practice Trainer.
We're looking for someone who brings passion, energy, and a commitment to developing others--and ideally, experience working at a senior level within emergency care.
In this full-time role, you'll play a pivotal part in shaping the next generation of ED clinicians. You'll deliver hands-on education and supervision in practice, as well as lead engaging formal training sessions that inspire staff at all levels.
You'll also be at the forefront of driving quality improvement and supporting service development initiatives within our fast-paced Emergency Department--helping to influence positive change and enhance patient care across the service.

Main duties of the job
As a key member of our Education and Development team, you will be a vital source of clinical expertise within the Emergency Department. You will maintain and demonstrate high-level clinical skills through regular 1:1 support, coaching, and hands-on guidance with staff--acting as a visible and approachable leader within the department.
You will provide strong professional leadership, fostering a supportive learning culture and helping staff to grow in confidence and competence. Your ongoing clinical involvement will ensure your own practice remains current, credible, and aligned with best standards of emergency care.
In addition, you will actively contribute to the department's quality improvement agenda. This includes supporting staff development initiatives, participating in audit activity, and driving forward service improvements that enhance the safety, effectiveness, and overall experience of care.
