MSK Consultant Radiologist

Job summary

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust has a vacancy for a Consultant Radiologist with a particular interest in MSK imaging.

The post holder is required to have full registration with the General Medical Council & a valid license to practice and be on the Specialist Register for Radiology or be within 6 months of CCT or equivalent at the time of interview. We would encourage any interested candidates to contact the Directorate Management team for further discussion.

The successful candidate would be expected to participate in sub-specialty MDTs and contribute to the general diagnostic work of the department, including general diagnostic radiology on call (Specialist Trainee led on call service - evenings and weekends with outsourcing overnight). Home workstations are provided to all consultants for protected daytime reporting, flexible working and remote review of on call imaging. Consultants are expected to provide prospective cover for annual and study leaves.

Primarily based at Bury Oldham Rochdale, with a day/week cover for activities at Salford Royal Hospital.

The post holder will be expected to work closely with other consultants and members of the wider multi-disciplinary team to support and develop services.

Main duties of the job
