Job summary

We are a strongly established Cross Sectional Imaging Service. We are looking to either recruit a highly motivated and skilled CT and/or MRI Radiographer with an extensive background in CT and/or MRI, or extensive training can be provided for a suitable candidate as we provide rigorous on-going training for would be CT/MR Radiographers.

Main duties of the job

You will need to be team orientated individual who is able to demonstrate strong teaching abilities as you will be working with trainee CT/MRI Radiographers. Here at the NCA we serve a wide range of patients and we would expect the successful candidate to communicate effectively - with a patient centred approach.Our facilities are excellent and the hospital is staffed by a valued team of highly skilled professionals. All sites have Canon CT scanners - Prime SP and Genesis ONE scanners. In MR The Royal Oldham Hospital has a Siemens Avanto 1.5T, Rochdale Infirmary a GE Signa Explorer 1.5T and Fairfield General Hospital has a Siemens Aera 1.5T.

Please note that this Band 6 post is a Northern Care Alliance position and although you will have a base site, there may be a requirement to work occasionally in CT/MRI on the other Trust sites of Royal Oldham Hospital, Fairfield General Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary.You will be expected to work flexibly over 7 days.

We welcome applicants who wish to train in CT and MR. There is a competency based progression scheme from band 5/6 in place.

  • State Registration with the Health Care Professions Council

  • Post Graduate qualification in MRI / CT

  • Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the principles of CT/MR radiography
  • Evidence of multidisciplinary team working
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development at Band 6 level
