Job summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Speech and Language Therapist to support children in achieving their communication potential. This role is commissioned by schools to deliver targeted interventions, assessments and advice to enhance students' communication and learning outcomes

Main duties of the job

To deliver specialist clinical work within schools and/or specialist resource provisions as part of a Speech and Language Therapy team.

To assess and diagnose conditions and to plan and implement specialist Speech and Language Therapy programmes of care and treatment and discharge appropriately, using evidence-based practice.

To provide peer support to and receive peer support from other Speech and Language colleagues.

To work collaboratively with parents, carers and educators and to support children with a range of communication needs.

To demonstrate clinical effectiveness through the use of evidence based practice and outcome measures.

To support the development and delivery of training packages to parents/carers and teaching staff.

You will have strong presentation skills and enjoy delivering training to the wider children's workforce about a range of communication difficulties, including developing, evaluating and adapting training packages.
