Join Our Specialist Haematology Team - Make a Difference as a Haematology Nurse Specialist

Are you passionate about supporting patients through life-changing haematological illnesses? We're looking for a dedicated nurse to work alongside our Clinical Haematology Team, providing expert advice and compassionate care for patients facing conditions like leukaemia, lymphoma, and myeloma.

What You'll Do:

  • Serve as a vital resource for complex nursing advice, supporting patients and their families from diagnosis through treatment, recovery, and palliation
  • Offer emotional, psychological, and practical support as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring patients receive holistic, person-centred care
  • Advocate for patients, signpost to relevant services, and coordinate care to create a seamless, supportive journey
  • Collaborate closely with the Haematology Advanced Nurse Practitioner to deliver nurse-led chemotherapy clinics, administer treatments, and support bone marrow procedures

Main duties of the job

The post holder will play a key leadership role as a senior nurse within the team, providing support to patients throughout their cancer journey. They will offer expert advice and support to patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure high-quality care.

This role requires maintaining professional standards, acting as a role model, and providing accessible leadership at all times. The postholder will deliver education and training to colleagues relevant to the role and support their ongoing professional development. The role also includes management and strategic responsibilities, such as report writing, data collection, audits, and service development opportunities.

Additionally, the postholder will promote evidence-based practice within the specialty by integrating expert clinical skills, education, and a strong commitment to nursing research.
