Job summary
We are excited to be able to offer a permanent full time Assistant Psychologist position. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join a hard working team who is passionate about working with people with learning disabilities and their families and carers.
The post aims to provide paid clinical experience for individuals who are looking to pursue a career as a Clinical Psychologist.
You will be working in a well established psychological therapies team which is hugely valued by a wider integrated team including social workers, nurses and other allied health professionals.
Main duties of the job
The post will involve direct and indirect clinical experience working with service users, families, and multidisciplinary team members. Clinical work will include cognitive and other assessments specifically taking a lead role in the management of our well established dementia pathway.
You will have the opportunity to develop and lead the delivery of workshops and groups for people with learning disabilities (and their carers). There will be an opportunity to take part audit, evaluation and research opportunities and this will include maintaining databases for the psychological therapies team.
