Join our dynamic and supportive Enhanced Intermediate Care Unit (EIMC) where your contribution will make a real difference in the recovery and independence of our patients.
As a band 3 Health Care Assistant you will play a vital role in supporting patients during their recovery journey. Our EIMC provides short term person-centred care that helps to avoid unnecessary admission but also facilitates early discharge.
Changes to the UK immigration policy introduced on the 9th April 2025, increased the minimum salary threshold for certificates of sponsorship applications for Health and Care Worker Visa from £23,200 (£11.90 per hour) to £25,000 (£12.82 per hour). As per Agenda for Change, if you are new to the NHS your starting salary would be £24,937 (minimum Band 3 salary point from 1st April 2025 in line with National Living Wage requirements). This salary point is below the new minimum threshold, and therefore not eligible for sponsorship. Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team including nurses, therapist and doctors to deliver high quality care. This role is ideal for HCAs with experience or interest in rehabilitation, reablement or intermediate care services. You will be required to work days/ nights/ weekends and Bank Holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to patient in line with care plans.
- Assist in promoting patient mobility, independence, and rehabilitation goals.
- Observe and record vital signs, promptly reporting concerns.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team to provide holistic care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to care planning.
