We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and caring individuals to join our team.
Health Care Assistants play a vital role in line with nurses to deliver excellent care to our patients with broad and varied health conditions. The job is both exciting and challenging where team working is essential and good initiative is paramount.
Changes to the UK immigration policy introduced on the 9th April 2025, increased the minimum salary threshold for certificates of sponsorship applications for Health and Care Worker Visa from £23,200 (£11.90 per hour) to £25,000 (£12.82 per hour). As per Agenda for Change, if you are new to the NHS your starting salary would be £24,937 (minimum Band 3 salary point from 1st April 2025 in line with National Living Wage requirements). This salary point is below the new minimum threshold, and therefore not eligible for sponsorship. Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the delivering of patient care needs and development, devising, implementing, and evaluating programs of care, both for a specific group of patients as the named care provider and in supporting the care of all patients. As a Health Care Assistant, you will provide daily clinical delivery of evidence-based practice care to the nursing team. You will actively support the Ward Manager in the maintenance of providing excellent nursing care.
Experience in healthcare is an advantage but not essential as successful candidates will take part in the care certificate course - developing basic nursing skills before some extended competencies such as obtaining and accurate recording of blood pressure, venepuncture, and ECGs.
