As a result of career progression of the existing postholder, we have an opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join the Northern Care Alliance finance team. The role is the Business Accountant to support a clinical division. This post is an integral part of the management team of a high profile and complex division. The post holder will support the organisation's aims and objectives by ensuring a high quality finance service is delivered to the division to allow for continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be flexible and responsive to change.
Main duties of the job
The role involves working closely with colleagues, both in finance and the organisation as a whole. The post holder will support the finance department in the process of meeting its objectives. This includes the preparation of budgetary and reporting systems, and implementing procedures that enable effective financial management and efficient use of resources.
This is a pivotal role to contribute to helping the organisation to ensure it maintains its high quality of clinical services whilst identifying ways in which to safely reduce costs.
You will be proactive and highly motivated with strong IT skills, competent in the use of Microsoft Office and computerised ledger systems.
You will require a good understanding of the accounting function and should be able to plan your workload in order to meet both strict and conflicting deadlines.
You will be a CCAB qualified accountant with post qualification management experience.
