We are looking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Dispenser to support and enhance our technical teams based at Fairfield General Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary Hospital. You will be required to work at both sites.
Your role will involve the dispensing and labelling of a wide range of medicines for in-patients, out-patients and discharges, working at ward level as part of a discharge team, greeting patients at the pharmacy reception where you will receive and issue prescriptions.
This post will commence September 2025.
Main duties of the job
You will need good communication skills and a pleasant telephone manner. You must be able to work accurately and quickly under pressure and be committed to the delivery of high standards in a patient focused service.
Previous pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided, plus you will be required to study for and gain the NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services. If you already hold a level 4 qualification you may be required to self-fund this qualification.
Candidates with the NVQ2 qualification in pharmacy services and the relevant pharmacy experience will be appointed to the band 3 post.
There will be a requirement to participate in extended hours working including late nights, weekends, and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
