Are you an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) ready to expand your skills in neuro rehabilitation.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 OT to join our, neuro rehabilitation teams. This is a limited rotational post across our hyper acute, acute, and Intermediate Neurorehabilitation services giving you the opportunity to develop specialist skills across the full rehabilitation in-patient pathway. Our hyper acute and acute services are based at Salford Royal Hospital, close to the centre of Manchester and our Intermediate Neurorehabilitation unit is a standalone unit located in Rochdale, northeast of Manchester. The flexibility to travel across sites is therefore required.
You'll be working with a diverse caseload delivering highly specialist patient centred care to individuals with a range of complex neurological conditions including patients with TBI, ABI and Spinal cord injury as well as patients with Persistent Disorders of Consciousness (PDoC).
You'll be part of an expanding in-patient Neuro OT network working across the 4 Neuro rehab units operated by the Northern Care Alliance (NCA) with close links with the remaining OTs at the INRU in Trafford. You will also have close contact with the extended OT neuro and trauma OT's operating from Salford Royal. The opportunities for support, advice training and development is therefore extensive.

Main duties of the job
o To deliver high-quality Occupational therapy services for all patients admitted with a Neurological condition.o Complete specialist assessments and provide evidence-based interventions tailored to patients' needs.o Contribute to goal setting and discharge planning in collaboration with patients, families and wider MDT.o Liaise effectively with community services to ensure seamless transitions.o Support junior staff, students and assistants through supervision and mentoring.o Participate in audit, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.o Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with trust policies.
