Job summary
An opportunity has arisen in the NCA Finance Team for a 12-month Business Accountant role supporting a clinical division. This is a vital role in the senior management team and is key to progressing a number of high profile strategic objectives.
This is a 12-month fixed term role to cover maternity leave for the existing postholder. Secondments would also be considered.
The finance team has 4 members of staff who undertake a finance business partnering role, working closely alongside the operational and clinical teams to aid effective decision-making.

The post holder will support the organisation's aims and objectives by ensuring a high quality finance service is delivered to the division to allow for continuous improvement. The successful candidate will be flexible and responsive to change.
Main duties of the job
The role involves working closely with colleagues, both in finance and the organisation as a whole. The post holder will support the finance department in the process of meeting its objectives. This includes the preparation of budgetary and reporting systems, and implementing procedures that enable effective financial management and efficient use of resources.
This is a pivotal role to contribute to helping the organisation to ensure it maintains its high quality of clinical services whilst identifying ways in which to safely reduce costs.
You will be proactive and highly motivated with strong IT skills, competent in the use of Microsoft Office and computerised ledger systems.
You will require a good understanding of the accounting function and should be able to plan your workload in order to meet both strict and conflicting deadlines.
You will be a CCAB qualified accountant with post qualification management experience.
