Job summary
A exciting opportunity has opened on the Children's Outpatient Department.
You will be responsible for the management and co-ordination of patients attending the Children's Outpatients Department, undertaking a variety of nurse led clinics, including Phlebotomy, Allergy, growth clinic and Botox clinic.
The post holder will work closely with the clinical specialists to provide treatment, assessment and expertise for a diverse group of children and young people.
You will supervise and support junior members of the team and pre-registration nursing students to ensure safe and effective care is delivered at all times.
Main Tasks & Overview of Responsibilities
- Assess, deliver and evaluate planned programmes of care to meet the patient's health needs and general well-being during nurse led clinics
- Establish and maintain effective communication with individuals and groups overcoming any problems in communication
- Contribute to the development of services
- Must work well with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patients have a safe and effective journey throughout the service
- Will play a key role in the supervision and assessment of pre and post basic learners and unregistered staff providing a teaching role and acting as named supervisor
- Promote people's equality, diversity and rights
- Maintain and support the efficient use of physical and /or financial resources
