A rare opportunity has arisen in Salford for a Highly Specialist Lead Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly and supportive Adult Learning Disabilities Team. In this role, you'll take the clinical lead, delivering expert therapeutic assessment, diagnosis and treatment for clients with complex needs, including communication and swallowing difficulties, across various community settings. Main duties of the job
To lead the SLT service within the Learning Disabilities Health Professionals team.
- To provide as part of the multidisciplinary team highly specialist therapeutic assessment, diagnosis and treatment of Adults with Learning Disabilities who have highly complex and/or chronic presentation in a range of community locations. This includes working with clients with communication and swallowing difficulties
To assess and treat own caseload of clients maintaining own records as an autonomous practitioner
To supervise SLT and Total Communication colleagues as part of the team support structure.
