Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity in the pharmacy team at Bury and Rochdale Care Organisations to be at the forefront of the Antimicrobial Stewardship programme.
You'll be at the heart of our Trust-wide antimicrobial team, working hand-in-hand with expert pharmacists and microbiologists. With our exciting restructuring and the addition of a Consultant Pharmacist for Antimicrobial Stewardship, there's no better time to join us.
Lead the Charge: Be an essential member of the antimicrobial team, driving the stewardship agenda forward.
Be On the Front Lines: Participate in antimicrobial ward rounds and home IV therapy OPAT MDTs.

Audit & Innovate: Conduct audit work to continuously improve our services.

Main duties of the job
You will ensure that a high-quality pharmacy service is provided to designated wards and departments at the Bury and Rochdale Care Organisations and take a lead role in developing and implementing medicines management systems within your areas of responsibility.
You will work with the multidisciplinary Infection Prevention and Control team to promotes prudent use of antimicrobial agents in line with Trust strategy and policy and take a lead role in managing antimicrobial stewardship across the Care Organisations.
In conjunction with senior pharmacy staff, you will co-ordinate, develop and participate in the clinical pharmacy service to relevant wards and undertake clinical supervision of pharmacy staff and teaching of medical and nursing staff.
