Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Nursing Associate or Assistant Practitioner to become part of the Northern Care Alliance working within Salford Care Organisation within our treatment room at the Eccles gateway.

The Nursing Associate or Assistant Practitioner in the treatment room is a valued member of the team, working closely with the integrated team to provide care and education to patients on the community caseload. The Nursing Associate will be supported in providing care by the wider nursing team. They will run a clinic list of their own patients and will provide care for a variety of reasons, such as catheter care, wound care, leg ulcer care, dopplers and medication administration. All staff are provided with a robust local induction and competency document, alongside additional support from the practice education and specialist nurse teams.

All applicants must hold the Nursing Associate qualification.

Main duties of the job

The post holders will support clinical practice in the wider Adult Community Nursing Service by:

  • Keeping the people who using our services as safe as possible through the use of sound clinical skills and effective risk assessments.
  • Ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidence based policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring the people using our services have a good experience by respecting, empowering and working in partnership with people throughout the care planning process
  • Supportinglearning in both formal and informal settings in order to support the on-going development of staff in clinical practice.

You will be supported in this role and will have opportunities for continuing professional development in a busy and rapidly developing service.
