Programme Lead: Backlog / Decarbonisation

Job summary

The post holder will be responsible for the support and development of building services backlog programmes to ensure they are addressing key risks and integrated with heat decarbonisation aspirations. They will ensure the programme is progressive and responsive to external and internal demand and that associated capital interventions are designed to be: patient focussed, safe, efficient and effective.

They will consider the backlog programme under industry good practice lifecycle principles and methodologies such as BSRIA BG/67 2016 and ISO 15686 incorporating lifecycle decision making into asset repair versus replacement strategies.

As part of a dynamic estates team at the Northern Care Alliance you will lead the strategy for capital interventions associated with backlog and delivery of complex infrastructure projects, whilst also provider leadership, direct line management and coaching to your immediate team.

The post holder will use construction project management methodology including RIBA and BSRIA stages and be responsible for liaising with a range of services leads (both clinical and non-clinical), staff, service users and external stakeholders, in order to ensure full engagement and success of capital projects.

Responsible for compiling the business plan and associated performance monitoring tools for area of activity, ensuring implementation and performance targets, strategic objectives are met. Contributing to corporate policies and strategy.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be a key role within the Capital Development Team with responsibility for working with Capital Team, supporting all 5 care organisation to deliver major and minor projects across the Trusts estate and supporting with future developments. The successful applicant will have experience in the successful delivery of programmes: including appropriate oversight of project teams to ensure effective: project scheduling and programme level roll up for executive consumption, stakeholder engagement, procurement, financial management, project monitoring and control.

The role will also involve capturing and interpreting technical guidance from estates, design teams and clinical / operational teams. We are therefore interested in applicants who have a background in delivering a complex programme of works within regulated and multi-stakeholder environments.
