Main duties of the job

The purpose of the job is to fully support the objectives of providing a cost effective and efficient, quality linen service to the Northern Care Alliance and its customers.

To ensure all required items are processed to the required quality standards and delivered "on-time" while maintaining the health, safety and wellbeing of all staff.

Qualifications

Desirable

  • GCSE or equivalent in English & Math's.
  • NVQ Level 2 in a laundry or similar occupation

Experience

Desirable

  • Experience of ancillary or factory work.
  • Laundry / Domestic / mechanical work experience

Knowledge

Essential

  • Working Knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Must have basic literacy & numeracy skills and a good level comprehension and be able to communicate at all levels.
  • Willingness to attend induction days i.e. Health and Safety, Lifting and Handling.

Skills

Essential

  • Must be of general good health, fit and able to lift.
  • To be able to work as part of a large team also capable of working on own initiative with minimum Supervision.
  • Must be able to work Bank Holidays and Weekend Rotas if required.

  • Hold a full clean UK driving license
