Exciting Opportunity for a Dynamic Ward Manager

Join our vibrant team at the Trauma Assessment and Stabilisation Unit (TASU) in the heart of the Trauma and Orthopaedics department! We're seeking a highly motivated nurse for a 10-month role as Ward Manager, stepping in during maternity leave.

Whether you're an experienced Ward Manager or an ambitious Band 6 nurse looking to take your skills to the next level, this is your chance to shine! At TASU, you'll lead a dedicated team in our 15-bedded unit, specialising in delivering top-notch acute surgical support to trauma patients. Work collaboratively with the Trauma Surgical Ward, T7, while benefitting from the strong support of our directorate management team and fellow Ward Managers.

Main duties of the job

Are you a passionate leader ready to make a meaningful impact on patient care? As our new Ward Manager for the Trauma Assessment and Stabilisation Unit (TASU), you'll play a crucial role in fostering a safe, clean, and compassionate environment that prioritises our patients above all.

Your responsibilities will include supporting and line-managing ward staff, overseeing appraisals, mandatory training compliance, recruitment, and ensuring safe staffing levels while adhering to budgetary constraints.
