Job summary
The Salford Podiatry Service is looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated Team Administrator to join our busy team.
You will need to be a great communicator and team player within a large team of Podiatrists / Podiatry Assistants and Administrators.
The Podiatry Service provides specialist care to a diverse group of patients with foot and lower limb problems within both a primary and secondary care setting. The role is varied and will require flexibility to cover reception duties at Salford Royal Podiatry outpatients clinics.
Main duties of the job
Provide Support to the Podiatry Manager/Team.
Frequent typing of patient letters (including audio typing) and correspondence within allocated time scale.
Liaise with General Practitioners and other health professionals with regard to appointments and patient enquiries.
To work as part of a team ensuring that the following duties are carried out:
- Recording of annual leave for the podiatry team;
- Arrange clinic appointments;
- Process and scan referrals to the Podiatry Service;
- Managing referrals through EBRS Choose and Book;
- Clinic cancelling;
- Manage waiting lists;
- Monitoring waiting times across the Podiatry caseload to ensure RTT targets are met;
- Management of Podiatry generic email accounts dealing with appropriate queries;
- Taking minutes for meetings when required;
- To provide cover for Salford Royal Podiatry outpatients department during absence.
