Job summary
We are looking for a doctor who can provide expertise in Care of the Elderly & General Medicine, based at Fairfield General Hospital with regular travel to other local locations. You will be part of a department currently undergoing a period of innovation and development, enhancing our already successful Frailty SDEC service, inpatient Dementia Unit and community in reach services.
There is a significant general medical component to the job, which you will be required to contribute to. You will be involved in many aspects of elderly care including Dementia care, Acute frailty, in reach and virtual wards.
Main duties of the job
To be eligible for consideration you must be on the GMC Specialist Register for Geriatrics & General internal medicine or a Specialist Registrar within six months of your CCT date or have equivalent experience to be entered on the GMC Specialist Registrar within six months of the interview date.
This is an exciting time of departmental expansion and we'd love to meet like-minded individuals with a drive for success and thirst for knowledge. The post is being offered at 10PAs which includes sessions for the General Medical on call rota. Opportunities for additional leadership and governance commitments may be available in the future.
