Join Our Life-Saving Bowel Cancer Screening Team

Are you an enthusiastic and committed Registered Nurse ready to make a difference in the fight against bowel cancer? We are seeking a Specialist Screening Practitioner to join our dynamic Bowel Cancer Screening Programme (BCSP) team.

If you have a passion for lower GI disease, whether through experience or interest, we want to hear from you! While experience in this role and the program is a bonus, it's not essential--just bring your dedication and willingness to learn.

What You'll Do:

As a Specialist Screening Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:

Assessing participants' fitness for colonoscopy

Supporting patients throughout the screening process

Communicating results in a compassionate and clear manner

Maintaining accurate records and providing a quality service

Attending Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings and collaborating with health promotion teams

You'll thrive in an independent role within the community but with the unwavering support of our incredible team. Strong organisational and communication skills are a must, along with the ability to be flexible--our screening schedules span 7 days a week, including possible evenings.

Main duties of the job

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the fight against bowel cancer? We are looking for a dedicated Specialist Screening Practitioner to assess participants' fitness for colonoscopy and support them throughout the entire process. Your role will be crucial in providing high-quality service and ensuring patients receive clear communication about their results.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and guide participants through their colonoscopy journey.

Maintain accurate records and deliver top-notch service.

Collaborate in Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings and connect with health promotion teams.

The office base for our screening services is currently on the Fairfield Hospital Site. However, you will be expected to work across all of the hospital sites within The Northern Care Alliance and in outreach clinics in the community.
